These 1 hour sessions are a combination of strength and metabolic conditioning. They are ideal for building strength, fat loss and for those wanting to improve general fitness.

YOUR PT SESSION EXPLAINED
BEFORE YOU START
When programming sessions, I take into consideration any injuries, likes/dislikes, suitability and most importantly YOUR GOALS. I also aim to make the session a positive experience which is fun, albeit hard work. I’m in this with you and I very much want you to succeed – it’s important I listen to what you want.
WARM UP
We begin with light cardio to gently raise your heart rate and prepare your CNS (Central Nervous System). This is followed by a short mobility routine, incorporating Pilates exercises, to make sure your muscles are prepared and joints are ready.
STRENGTH SUPER SET
We then move into our first main set which is focussed on strength training and progression over the weeks. The exercises programmed for you will be recorded along with the reps you do and the weight you achieve. We aim to make improvements over the weeks – a great way to give you something to work towards.
METABOLIC CONDITIONING ROUNDS
These rounds are designed to target specific muscle groups for strength but also raise your heart rate. An effective way to build strength and burn fat. As with your super set round, these exercises will be programmed specifically for you and to meet your goals. Whilst there is a cardio element to some of these exercises, we will tend to combine them with free weights and other kit to encourage strength in unison. You don’t have to do burpees and jumps to get a sweat on!
FINAL ROUND
Often times there will be a small finisher which will test your stamina and leave you feeling exhilarated! Appropriate to your fitness level, this may include timed intervals using small equipment, machines and our own body weight.
CLOSING
To end, we stretch and wind down.
DURING YOUR SESSION
Expect a well rounded 60 minutes that will be varied. You may feel challenged and I will be there to motivate you every step of the way. I will make sure you are well coached, safe and confident. At times, you may feel pushed outside of your comfort zone – but only to a place where you feel a sense of achievement; never worried or without proper guidance.
OUTSIDE OF YOUR SESSION
A Personal Training Gym Session pretty much stays inside the gym with some guidance outside of sessions such as tips for stretching and forward planning. For those needing additional guidance outside of sessions, please refer to the Tracker Package.
